Tandem Skydiving

Tandem skydiving is the EASIEST way to make that First Jump. After a short training class, you will suit up and you and your instructor will climb to over 11,000 feet (yep, that's over 2 miles high!).

Wearing a tandem parachute system, you and your Tandem Instructor will jump together and accelerate to 120 MPH, freefalling for about 45 seconds. At 5500', the parachute is deployed by the instructor (or you!). During the 5-6 minute parachute ride back to earth, you will enjoy the beautiful views of The Great Smoky Mountains and Douglas Lake and, if you like, try your hand at piloting the parachute.

Videographers are usually available to fly along and capture your freefall experience. Your DVD will include the pre-flight training, scenes from the plane ride, complete freefall and landing, as well as interviews and other fun stuff! The 6-8 minute finished DVD Video, edited to music, could even be ready before you leave if time permits. A separate CD of high-resolution digital stills is also an option and the perfect way to share photos by email or upload to Facebook.
